GENERAL MOTORS HAS DECIDED TO CONDUCT A VOLUNTARY EMISSION CAMPAIGN INVOLVING CERTAIN 1993 CHEVROLET LUMINA; PONTIAC GRAND PRIX; OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME; AND BUICK REGAL MODEL VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 3.1L (RPO LH0) ENGINES. THESE VEHICLES MAY BE RELEASING POLLUTANTS WHICH EXCEED FEDERAL STANDARDS.
TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION, DEALERS ARE TO REPLACE THE EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID VALVE. ALSO, THE PROM CALIBRATION IN THE OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME CONVERTIBLE, ONLY, WILL BE REPLACED.

1. REPLACE THE EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID VALVE, USING THE SERVICE PROCEDURE FROM SECTION 6E OF THE APPROPRIATE SERVICE MANUAL.
2. FOR OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME CONVERTIBLES ONLY, REPLACE THE PCM CALIBRATION PROM, USING THE SERVICE PROCEDURE FROM THE APPROPRIATE SERVICE MANUAL.
3. INSTALL THE GM CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL.
CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL
EACH VEHICLE CORRECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS OUTLINED IN THIS PRODUCT CAMPAIGN BULLETIN WILL REQUIRE A "CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL". EACH LABEL PROVIDES A SPACE TO INCLUDE THE CAMPAIGN NUMBER AND THE FIVE (5) DIGIT DEALER CODE OF THE DEALER PERFORMING THE CAMPAIGN SERVICE. THIS INFORMATION MAY BE INSERTED WITH A TYPEWRITER OR A BALL POINT PEN.
