SOME CUSTOMERS MAY COMMENT THAT A WHISTLE SOUND IS HEARD AT SPEEDS OF 30 MPH AND ABOVE.
FILL FRONT CAVITY OF OUTER BELT SEAL WITH SILICONE SEALER.
1. WITH GLASS IN FULL DOWN POSITION, REMOVE REAR OUTER BELT RETAINING SCREW AND REMOVE MOLDING BY PULLING UPWARD.
2. LUBE THE FLANGE THAT THE OUTER BELT MOLDING IS MOUNTED ON FROM THE MIRROR BACK 6" WITH SILICONE LUBE. COATING THE FLANGE WITH SILICONE LUBRICANT WILL ALLOW MOLDING REMOVAL AT A LATER DATE WITHOUT DAMAGE.
3. REMOVE PLASTIC END CAP FROM MOLDING. SEE ILLUSTRATION, ITEM 2.
4. FILL CAVITY 2/3 FULL AND 4" BACK FROM THE FRONT OF THE MOLDING USING SILICONE SEALER. SEE ILLUSTRATION, ITEM 1.
5. REINSTALL PLASTIC END CAP TO THE MOLDING.
6. INSTALL MOLDING TO THE DOOR AND REINSTALL RETAINING SCREW.
FOR VEHICLES REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY, USE: LABOR OPERATION: C0130 RIGHT HAND SIDE C0131 LEFT HAND SIDE LABOR TIME: 0.2 HR EACH SIDE AT TIME OF REPAIR BOTH SIDES SHOULD BE COMPLETED.
