Throttle Body Hose 3.1L
Removal Procedure
Notice: When adding coolant, use DEX-COOL® coolant. If silicated coolant
is added to the system, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion
may result. In addition, the engine coolant will require change sooner-at
50 000 km (30,000 mi) or 24 months.
- Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly.
- Drain the coolant to a level below the hose being removed. Refer
to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Disconnect the throttle body hose clamp and the hose.
- Remove the throttle body hose.
Installation Procedure
- Connect the throttle body hose with the clamps
- Refill the coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Install the air cleaner and duct assembly.

Removal Procedure

- Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly.
- Partially drain the coolant from the cooling system. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Remove the throttle body and the throttle body tube. Refer to
Engine Mechanical.
- Remove the throttle body coolant pipe.
Installation Procedure
- Install the throttle body coolant pipe.
- Install the throttle body and the throttle body tube. Refer to
Engine Mechanical.
- Refill the coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Install the air cleaner and duct assembly.
