Throttle Body Hose 3.1L

Removal Procedure

    Notice: When adding coolant, use DEX-COOL® coolant. If silicated coolant is added to the system, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result. In addition, the engine coolant will require change sooner-at 50 000 km (30,000 mi) or 24 months.

  1. Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly.
  2. Drain the coolant to a level below the hose being removed. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Disconnect the throttle body hose clamp and the hose.
  4. Remove the throttle body hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the throttle body hose with the clamps
  2. Refill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Install the air cleaner and duct assembly.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly.
  2. Partially drain the coolant from the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Remove the throttle body and the throttle body tube. Refer to Engine Mechanical.

  4. Object Number: 12746  Size: SH
  5. Remove the throttle body coolant pipe.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 12746  Size: SH
  1. Install the throttle body coolant pipe.
  2. Install the throttle body and the throttle body tube. Refer to Engine Mechanical.
  3. Refill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  4. Install the air cleaner and duct assembly.
