Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 57365 Size: SH
  1. Install the camshaft idler belt pulley.
  2. Important: A loose bolt and spacer does not mean there is a defective part. Ensure that the plastic ridge by the bolt on the camshaft idler belt pulley is pointing away from the engine.

  3. Install the camshaft idler belt pulley mounting bolt.
  4. Tighten
Tighten the camshaft idler belt pulley bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Ensure that the camshaft idler belt pulley turns freely and is tight on the front cover boss.
  6. Install the camshaft timing belt tensioner actuator. Refer to Timing Belt Tensioner Actuator Removal .
  7. Install the camshaft timing belt tensioner mount plate.
