Camshaft Carrier Cover Installation Left Side


    Object Number: 57329  Size: SH
  1. Install the o-rings to the camshaft carrier cover.
  2. Install the gasket to the camshaft carrier cover.
  3. Install the camshaft carrier cover.
  4. Install the retaining bolts.
  5. 4.1. Fully seat the bolt isolators in the camshaft carrier cover before tightening.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the spark plug wires.
  7. Install the camshaft position sensor.
  8. Install the camshaft position sensor mounting bolts.

  1. Install the o-rings to the camshaft carrier cover.
  2. Install the gasket to the camshaft carrier cover.
  3. Install the camshaft carrier cover.
  4. Install the retaining bolts.
  5. Fully seat the bolt isolators into the camshaft carrier cover before tightening.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 11 N·m (97 lb in).
