Tools Required

1. Remove the knock sensor.
2. Remove the crankshaft position sensor retaining bolt and sensor.
3. Remove the coolant jacket plugs.
4. Remove the coolant jacket threaded plugs.

Important: Caustic cleaning solution destroys the bearing material. All bearings must be replaced after cleaning with a caustic solution. Do not clean bearing material or aluminum parts with caustic solutions.

5. Remove the oil gallery plugs.
