Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105289  Size: SH
  1. Remove the indicator.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  3. Remove the front exhaust manifold pipe. Refer to General Exhaust System Replacement in Exhaust System.
  4. Remove the steering gear heat shield.
  5. Remove the bracket bolt.
  6. Remove the tube.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105289  Size: SH
  1. Position the tube.
  2. Do not place the seal on the tube.
  3. Install the bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 13 N·m (115 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the steering gear heat shield.
  6. Install the front exhaust manifold pipe. Refer to General Exhaust System Replacement in Exhaust System.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Install the indicator.
  9. Adjust the fluid level.
