Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  2. Remove the left front tire.
  3. Remove the left front bumper fascia splash shield.
  4. Support the transmission with floor stands.

  5. Object Number: 99936  Size: SH
  6. Remove the transmission mount transmission side bracket from the transmission mount nuts.
  7. Remove the transaxle mount bracket bolts.
  8. Remove the transaxle mount bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 99936  Size: SH
  1. Position the bracket on the transmission.
  2. Hand start the transmission mount transmission side bracket bolts.
  3. Install the bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 95 N·m (70 lb ft). Start with the forward lower bolt and work clockwise.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the support to the transmission.
  6. Install the transmission mount transmission side bracket to the transmission mount nuts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 53 N·m (70 lb ft).

  8. Install the left front bumper fascia splash shield.
  9. Install the left front tire.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
