Transmission Brace Replacement 3100

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  2. Remove the right front tire.
  3. Remove the right front bumper fascia splash shield.
  4. Remove the bolts.

  5. Object Number: 105292  Size: SH
  6. Remove the transmission brace.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105292  Size: SH
  1. Position the transmission brace on the following components:
  2. 1.1. The transmission
    1.2. The engine
  3. Do not tighten the transmission brace bolts out of sequence.
  4. Hand start the bolts on the engine and the transmission.
  5. Install the engine bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the transmission bolts
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

  9. Install the right front bumper fascia splash shield.
  10. Install the right front tire.
  11. Lower the vehicle.

Removal Procedure

  6. Remove the transmission brace.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the transmission brace on the following components:
  2. 1.1. The transmission
    1.2. The engine
  3. Do not tighten the transmission brace bolts out of sequence.
  4. Hand start the bolts on the engine and the transmission.
  5. Install the engine bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).
