Parking Brake Shoe Replacement Rear Disc

1. Remove the appropriate rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
2. Remove the rear caliper bracket. Refer to Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement in Disc Brakes.
3. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
4. Remove the parking brake actuator (5). Refer to Parking Brake Actuator Replacement .



5. Remove the rear wheel hub. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.



6. Remove the shoe and lining (2) from the rear wheel hub.

1. Install shoe and lining to the rear wheel hub.
2. Install the rear wheel hub. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.




Important: Ensure that the shoe and lining (1) engages the hold down clip (2).

3. Install the parking brake actuator and engage the shoe to the actuator. Refer to Parking Brake Actuator Replacement .
4. Adjust the rear parking brake shoe and lining. Refer to Park Brake Cable Service/Adjustment .
5. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
6. Install the caliper bracket. Refer to Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement in Disc Brakes.
7. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
