Inspect Fuse 4 in the fuse block.

Repair the short to ground in CKT 41 (BRN).

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the heater-A/C control connector C1.
  2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  3. Use a test lamp, connected to ground, in order to backprobe the heater-A/C control connector C1 terminal D.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 41 (BRN).

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to HVAC Blower Controls System Check

  1. Reconnect the heater-A/C control connector C1.
  2. Disconnect the blower motor connector.
  3. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  4. Place the blower control switch in the HI position.
  5. Use a test lamp, connected to ground, in order to backprobe the blower motor connector terminal B .

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Remove the blower motor relay.
  2. Use a test lamp, connected to ground, in order to backprobe the blower motor relay harness connector terminal C2.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the heater-A/C control module. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Inspect CKT 65 (PPL) for a poor connection or an open .

Is there a poor connection or an open in the circuit?

Repair the fault in CKT 65 (PPL).

Is the repair complete?

Replace the blower motor relay.

Is the repair complete?

Keep the ignition switch in the RUN position. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe between the blower motor connector terminal A and terminal B.

Did the test lamp light?

Locate and repair a poor or open connection in CKT 150 (BLK) between the blower motor connector terminal A and G205.
