Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the fuel feed and return pipe from the fuel injector rail. Refer to Fuel Hose/Pipes Replacement - Engine Compartment in Engine Controls.

  3. Object Number: 190531  Size: SH
  4. Remove the oil pump drive bolt.
  5. Remove the oil pump drive clamp.
  6. Remove the oil pump drive.
  7. Remove the oil pump drive seal.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 190531  Size: SH
  1. Install the oil pump drive seal. Coat the seal or bore in the engine block with engine oil.
  2. Install the oil pump drive. Coat the drive gear on the drive with prelube GM P/N 1052365 or equivalent for a full 360 degrees.
  3. Install the oil pump drive clamp.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the oil pump drive clamp bolt.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pump drive clamp bolt to 36 N·m (27 lb ft).

  7. Connect the fuel feed and return pipe to the fuel injector rail. Refer to Fuel Hose/Pipes Replacement - Engine Compartment in Engine Controls.
  8. Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
