Removal Procedure

  1. Loosen the Air Hose Clamp.
  2. Disconnect the Clamp and AIR hose From the check valve.
  3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the check valve.
  4. Remove the nut from the AIR bracket stud.

  5. Object Number: 529925  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the AIR pipe from the Exhaust manifold adaptors.
  7. Remove the Check Valve/Pipe from the manifold and bracket stud.
  8. Remove the two bolts from the bottom of the check valve and seperate the two pieces.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Reinstall the two ataching screws through the pipe and into the check valve.
  2. Connect the reactor pipe and check valve by installing the spring clamp and tightening the pipe locknut.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Place the Check Valve/Pipe Assembly onto the bracket stud and manifold adaptors.
  4. Tighten the pipe to the adaptors.
  5. Reinstall the locknut on the bracket stud.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the locknut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Connect the vacuum hose to the check valve.
  8. Connect the AIR hose and clamp to the check valve.
  9. Tighten the clamp.
