Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors Upper

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the hood.

  2. Object Number: 530675  Size: SH

    Important: Do not attempt to pull up on the radiator upper air baffle flaps from the top side of the part. Pulling up on the flaps from the top side of the part may affect the latch mechanism.

  3. Open the radiator upper air baffle hinge flaps by deflecting the latch from the bottom side of the part. Disconnect the radiator side baffle from the radiator upper air baffle.
  4. Remove the radiator upper air baffle retainers.
  5. Remove the radiator upper air baffle bolts.
  6. Remove the radiator upper air baffle.
  7. Remove the radiator side air baffle bolts.
  8. Remove the radiator side air baffles.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 530675  Size: SH
  1. Install the radiator side air baffles.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the radiator side air baffle bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the radiator side air baffle bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in)

  5. Install the radiator upper air baffle.
  6. Install the radiator upper air baffle bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the radiator upper air baffle bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the radiator upper air baffle retainers.
  9. Position the tops of the radiator side air baffles into the openings of the radiator upper air baffle. Press in order to secure the radiator upper air baffle hinges, as shown.
  10. Lower the hood.

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 163471  Size: SH
  3. Remove the radiator lower air deflector bolts.
  4. Remove the radiator lower air deflector.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator lower air deflector.

  2. Object Number: 163471  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.   3. Install the radiator lower air deflector bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the radiator lower air deflector bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft)

  5. Lower the vehicle.
