Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 296271 Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine block heater cord from behind the head lamp. Lower the engine block heater cord into the engine compartment.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

    3. Object Number: 296201 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the engine block heater cord from the engine block heater.
  4. Remove the engine block heater cord straps.
  5. Note the routing of the engine block heater cord. Remove the engine block heater cord.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 296201 Size: SH

    Important: The engine block heater cord must not touch the engine, hot pipes, manifold, or any moving parts. Secure the engine block heater cord as required.

  1. Route the engine block heater cord. Install engine block heater cord straps.
  2. Connect the engine block heater cord to the engine block heater.
  3. Lower the vehicle.

  4. Position the engine coolant heater cord behind the headlamp assembly. Ensure the cord is secure.
