Exhaust system hangers and insulators support the weight of the exhaust system, isolate engine noise, isolate engine vibration, space the exhaust system away from the underbody of the vehicle and allow for exhaust system expansion that occurs as the exhaust system warms up. The hangers mount to brackets on the underbody and various brackets welded to the exhaust system.
• | The exhaust pipe is attached to the floor pan with two exhaust pipe hangers connected to the floor pan hooks. |
• | At the right side of the underbody the exhaust pipe is supported by an insulator and a hanger rod welded on the underbody rail. |
• | The exhaust pipe is supported with an insulator and an exhaust pipe rear hanger bracket bolted to the rear suspension crossmember. |
• | The rear of the exhaust muffler is supported by two insulators and an exhaust muffler rear hanger bracket. |
