Notice: When adding fluid or making a complete fluid change, always use the
proper power steering fluid. Failure to use the proper fluid will cause hose
and seal damage and fluid leaks.
- Clean surrounding area
before removing power steering reservoir cap.
- Remove the power steering reservoir cap.
- Check the marks on the fluid level indicator (1,2) integrated
with the reservoir cap to determine fluid level.
- Ensure the power steering fluid level is atleast to the COLD mark (1)
on the fluid level indicator.
- If the level is not to the COLD mark (1) on the fluid level
indicator, fill the power steering reservoir to the COLD mark (1).
- Start the engine and allow the engine to come up to normal operating
temperature.
- Shut the engine off.
- Inspect the power steering fluid level, the level should be between
the COLD mark (1) and the HOT mark (2) on the fluid level indicator.
- If the level is not between the COLD mark (1) and the
HOT mark (2) on the fluid level indicator, add power steering fluid
until the level falls between the marks.
