Action

A worn cancel cam

Replace the components as necessary.

Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Upper Bearing Inner Race - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

The detent spring exhibits one of the following conditions:

    • Broken
    • Missing
    • Out of position

Adjust or replace the spring as necessary.

Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Upper Bearing Inner Race - Disassemble - Off Vehicle or Steering Column Jacket - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

The return spring exhibits one of the following conditions:

    • Broken
    • Missing
    • Out of position

Adjust or replace the spring as necessary.

Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Upper Bearing Inner Race - Disassemble - Off Vehicle or Steering Column Jacket - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

The cancel spring exhibits one of the following conditions:

    • Broken
    • Missing
    • Out of position

Adjust or replace the spring as necessary.

Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Upper Bearing Inner Race - Disassemble - Off Vehicle or Steering Column Jacket - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

Loose switch mounting screws

Tighten the screws to specification.

Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle or Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

A broken switch

Repair the components as necessary.

Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

Broken anchor bosses

Repair the components as necessary.
