Broken/missing detent or canceling spring

Replace the components as necessary.

Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle or Steering Column Jacket - Disassemble - Off Vehicle or Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Upper Bearing Inner Race - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

Foreign material or loose parts are obstructing the yoke movement.

Inspect, clean and replace the components as necessary.

Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle or Steering Column Jacket - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

The switch is not centered inside the column.

1. Inspect the following components:

•	The switch

•	Verify that the switch is correctly installed.

•	The mounting screw bosses on the lock housing cover.

2. Replace the components as necessary.

Replace the switch if the suggested problems do not exist.
