Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control Disassemble - Off Vehicle Column Shift

Disassembly Procedure
  1. Disconnect the park position switch assembly connector from the interlock solenoid assembly.

    2. Object Number: 387375 Size: SH
  2. Remove the BTSI cable assembly (6) from the interlock solenoid assembly following these steps:

    3. Important: The BTSI cable assembly (6) must remain straight during disassembly.

    2.1. Remove the cable mounting clip (7) on the BTSI cable assembly (6) from the solenoid adapter bracket (5).
    2.2. Remove the ball joint socket from the interlock solenoid assembly (2).
    2.3. Remove the ball joint spring (8) from the interlock solenoid assembly (2).
    2.4. Remove the BTSI cable assembly (6) from the ignition switch actuator assembly.
  3. Remove the hexagon washer head screw (1) from the solenoid adapter bracket (5).
  4. Remove the interlock solenoid assembly (2) from the solenoid adapter bracket (5).
  5. Remove the 2 hexagon washer head screws (4) from the solenoid adapter bracket (5).
  6. Remove the solenoid adapter bracket (5).
