Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the LH front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End

    2. Object Number: 406262 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the vacuum hose.

    3. Object Number: 406258 Size: SH
  3. Remove the vacuum tank attaching bolt.

    4. Important: Lift the vacuum storage tank upward and slide forward to release the rear mounting tab from the fender liner.

  4. Remove the vacuum tank.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 406258 Size: SH

    Important: Align the vacuum storage tank and slide rearward to install the rear mounting tab to the fender liner.

  1. Install the vacuum storage tank to the fender liner.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the vacuum tank attaching bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2.5 N·m (22 lb ft).

  3. Connect the vacuum hose.
  4. Install the LH front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
