Did you perform the HVAC Diagnostic system Check?

  1. Disconnect the blower motor resistor connector.
  2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  3. Place the heater-A/C control in the VENT position.
  4. Place the blower control in the M1 position.
  5. Use a test lamp to backprobe between the blower motor resistor connector terminal B and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the blower motor resistor. Refer to Blower Motor Resistor Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the heater-A/C control connector C1.
  3. Use a test lamp, connected to B+, to backprobe the heater A/C control connector C1, terminal A circuit 63 (TAN).

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair a poor connection or an open in circuit 63 (TAN). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the heater-A/C control. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .
