Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement for Chevrolet Lumina 2000

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Shelf in Interior Trim.
2. Remove the child seat tether bracket to rear shelf bolts.
3. Turn the child seat tether brackets 90 degrees.
4. Lift the child seat tether brackets to remove from the rear shelf.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the child seat tether brackets to the slots in the rear shelf.
2. Turn the child seat tether brackets 90 degrees to align the child seat tether bracket to rear shelf bolt holes.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the child seat tether bracket to rear shelf bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the child seat tether bracket to rear shelf bolts to 20N·m  (15 lb ft).

4. Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Shelf in Interior Trim.
