Instrument Panel Compartment Lamp Replacement Switch

1. Remove the RH instrument panel (IP) insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the IP compartment lamp switch (1).
3. Open the IP compartment door for additional access around the switch.

Important: Use care to protect the wiring harness when removing the IP compartment lamp switch bracket retaining screw.

4. Carefully remove the screw retaining the IP compartment lamp switch bracket to the IP.
5. Carefully remove the switch bracket (with switch) from the IP.
6. Depress the switch retaining tabs to release, then remove the switch from the switch bracket.

1. Align and press the IP compartment lamp switch to the IP compartment lamp switch bracket to secure.
2. Carefully install the switch bracket (with switch) into position on the IP.

Important: Use care to protect the wiring harness when installing the IP compartment lamp switch bracket retaining screw.

3. Carefully install the IP compartment lamp switch bracket to IP retaining screw.
4. Close the IP compartment door.
5. Connect the electrical connector to the IP compartment lamp switch (1).
6. Install the RH instrument panel (IP) insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Instrument Panel Compartment Lamp Replacement Bulb

1. Open the instrument panel (IP) compartment door.
2. Using a plastic flat-bladed tool, release the front or rear edge of the IP compartment lamp from the IP compartment.
3. Lower the IP compartment lamp to access the bulb.
4. Remove the bulb from the lamp socket.

1. Install the bulb to the IP compartment lamp socket.
2. Align the IP compartment lamp to the IP compartment, then press into place to secure.
3. Close the IP compartment door.
