  1. Inspect the inoperative bulbs for a damaged or open filament.
  2. Check that the harness connector seals are not damaged or missing.

Are the bulbs and the harness connectors OK?

Go to Step 2

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Place the turn signal switch to the inoperative side.

Does the turn indicator flash for the inoperative side?

Go to Step  6

Go to Step 4

  1. Repair the poor connection or an open in circuit 14 between S290 and S136 for the left tail/stop/turn lamp.
  2. Repair the poor connection or an open in circuit 15 between S289 and S137 for the right tail/stop/turn lamp.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Place the turn signal switch to the inoperable side.
  3. • Left Side: Using a test lamp, backprobe between connector C201 terminal A2 to ground.
    • Right Side: Using a test lamp, backprobe between connector C201 terminal A3 to ground.

Does the test lamp flash?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 9

    • Left Side: Repair the poor connection or an open in circuit 14 between C201 terminal A2 and S290.
    • Right Side: Repair the poor connection or an open in circuit 15 between C201 terminal A3 and S289.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

Are the side marker lamps and the turn lamps inoperable?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 7

    • Left Side: Repair the poor connection or an open in circuit 14 between S136 and the inoperable lamp.
    • Right Side: Repair the poor connection or open in circuit 15 between S137 and the inoperable lamp.

Has the repair made?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

Replace the damaged component.

Replace the turn signal switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
