Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 292591 Size: SH
  2. Remove the IP ashtray (4).
  3. Remove the IP ashtray bracket screws.
  4. Remove the IP ashtray bracket (2) from the IP.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 292591 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector.
  2. Install the instrument panel (IP) ashtray bracket (2) to the IP.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the IP ashtray bracket screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the IP ashtray bracket screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  4. Install the IP ashtray (4).
  5. Install the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
