Did you perform the Instrument Cluster System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector.
  3. Connect a fused jumper (3A) between B+ and the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm harness connector terminal C2.

Is the fasten belt indicator ON?

  1. Remove and disconnect the instrument cluster.
  2. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

  3. Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance between the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm harness connector terminal C2 and the instrument cluster connector terminal D10.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

2 ohms

Go to Step 4

Use a DMM in order to measure the resistance between the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm harness connector terminal C2 and the ground.

Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

Infinite

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

  1. Inspect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector terminal C2 for a poor connection.
  2. If the connector is OK, replace the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Repair the poor connection or the open in CKT 234.
  2. Inspect the system.

  1. Repair the fasten seat belt indicator that is inoperative due to a problem within the instrument cluster.
  2. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement

  3. Inspect the system.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Repair the short to ground in CKT 234.
  2. Inspect the system.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

  1. Ensure that the ignition switch is in the LOCK position.
  2. Install the components that were removed.
