  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Observe the instrument cluster gauges and indicators.

Are the instrument cluster gauges and indicators OFF (not operating)?

  1. Disconnect the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) connector.
  2. Use a test light in order to probe between the RCDLR harness connector terminal J and the ground.

Did the test light illuminate?

Repair CKT 39 for a short to B+.

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 7

Connect a 10A fused jumper between the RCDLR harness connector terminal S and the ground.

Did the courtesy light illuminate?

  1. Inspect the RCDLR connector for poor terminal contact.
  2. Replace the RCDLR if the connector is OK. Refer to Receiver Replacement

Has the repair been made?

Repair the following conditions in CKT 49:

    • A poor connection
    • An open

Has the repair been made?

  1. Ensure that the ignition switch is in the LOCK position.
  2. Reconnect any connectors that you removed.
  3. Install any components that you removed.

Have all the repairs been made?
