Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 292135  Size: SH
  4. Remove the seat adjuster bolts (1).

  5. Object Number: 292140  Size: SH
  6. Remove the adjuster (2) from the seat.

Installation Procedure

    Important: When you install the manual seat adjusters, ensure that the right and left seat adjuster sliding mechanism is in the same position as when you attach the adjuster to the seat bottom frame.

    After you install the manual seat adjusters to the seat frame, inspect the adjusters for correct operation.

  1. Install the adjuster (2) to the seat.

  2. Object Number: 292135  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the seat adjuster bolts (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat adjuster bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement .
  6. Install the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
