Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
.
- Open the folding seat.
- Remove the J-channel (4)
from the panel.
- Remove the bolts from the seat back panel.
- Remove the seat back (2) anchor nuts from the floor pan.
- Position the seat belt away from the seat back.
- Lift the seat back frame from the vehicle.
- Remove the center pivot
bracket (2) screws.
- Remove the pivot bracket from the seat back frame.
- Remove the left and right seat backs from the seat back frame.
Installation Procedure
- Install the left and right seat backs to the seat back frame.
- Install the pivot bracket to the seat back frame.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the center
pivot bracket (2) and screws.
Tighten
Tighten the center pivot bracket screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the seat back frame to the vehicle.
- Return the seat belt to its original position.
- Install the seat back anchor nuts (3) to the floor pan.
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat back anchor nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the bolts to the seat back panel.
Tighten
Tighten the seat back panel bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the J-channel
(4) to the panel.
- Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to
