All styles have the low bucket seats or the tubular frame design with a single side recliner control mechanism. The recliner mechanism is mounted on the outboard side of the seat. The recliner mechanism controls the seat back angle.

The inertia lock (4) on the coupes is a integral part of the recliner control mechanism.

The following actions move the seat back rearward:

  1. Apply rearward pressure to the seat back.
  2. Lift the recliner release handle.

These actions permit movement of the lockout level and rearward movement of the seat back.

The following actions return the seat to an upright position:

  1. Release the handle.
  2. This action will allow the cam plate to move counterclockwise. The sector lock teeth will engage the upper hinge arm, which locks the seat back in the desired recline position.

  3. Raise the recliner seat handle.
