Removal Procedure
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Remove the backup lamp sockets. Refer to Backup Lamp Bulb Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 292025 Size: LH
  3. Remove the rear compartment lid applique nuts (3).
  4. Remove the rear compartment applique from the rear compartment lid.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Position the rear compartment lid applique on the rear compartment lid. Install and tighten the rear compartment lid applique to rear compartment lid nuts in the following order:
    2. 1.1. Install the nuts (3) on both sides of the backup lamps.

    Tighten
    Tighten the rear compartment lid applique nuts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

    1.2. Install the upper outboard nuts.

    Tighten
    Tighten the rear compartment lid applique (outboard) nuts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

    1.3. Install the upper inboard nuts.

    Tighten
    Tighten the rear compartment lid applique (inboard) nuts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  2. Install the backup lamp sockets. Refer to Backup Lamp Bulb Replacement .
  3. Close the rear compartment lid.
