Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the battery hold down retainer. Refer to Battery Hold Down Retainer Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the battery positive cable.

    3. Object Number: 45664 Size: SH

    Important: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.

  3. Remove the battery.
  4. Remove the battery insulator from the battery.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the battery insulator to the battery.

    2. Object Number: 45664 Size: SH

    Important: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during installation.

  2. Install the battery.
  3. Install the battery positive cable to the battery.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the battery positive cable bolt to 16 N·m (12 lb  ft).

  4. Install the battery hold down retainer. Refer to Battery Hold Down Retainer Replacement .
