THIS BULLETIN HAS BEEN REVISED TO CLARIFY THE PROCEDURES.
SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE
THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE IS THE CORRECT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF I/P TRIM PAD FOR THE 1990 U-VAN. THIS PROCEDURE REPLACES THE EXISTING PROCEDURE FOUND ON THE FOLLOWING PAGES:
INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD ASSEMBLY
A. REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. I/P CLUSTER HOUSING AND CLUSTER ASSEMBLY, REFER TO SECTION 8C OF THE 1990 SERVICE MANUAL.
2. SIDE WINDOW DEFROSTER VENT GRILLES (2), TO ACCESS RETAINING SCREWS (2).
3. I/P PAD RETAINING SCREWS (4), TWO THROUGH GLOVE COMPARTMENT (VIEW A), TWO AT I/P CLUSTER BASE.
4. DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP SENSOR FROM LH SPEAKER GRILLE (CANADA ONLY).
5. LIFT I/P PAD UP AND PULL REARWARD TO DISENGAGE RETAINING TABS AT FRONT OF PAD.
6. I/P PAD ASSEMBLY FROM VEHICLE.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. POSITION I/P PAD TO LOWER I/P PAD ASSEMBLY, PUSH TO ENGAGE RETAINING TABS AT FRONT OF PAD.
2. DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP SENSOR TO LH SPEAKER GRILLE (CANADA ONLY).
3. I/P PAD RETAINING SCREWS (4) TWO AT I/P CLUSTER BASE, TWO THROUGH GLOVE COMPARTMENT (VIEW A).
4. RETAINING SCREWS AT SIDE WINDOW DEFROSTER OUTLETS AND AMD DEFROSTER GRILLES.
5. I/P CLUSTER ASSEMBLY AND HOUSING, REFER TO SECTION 8C IN THE 1990 SERVICE MANUAL.

I/P PAD ASSEMBLY
A. REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

2. I/P TRIM PAD RETAINING SCREWS (4) TWO AT TOP OF I/P CLUSTER, TWO THROUGH GLOVE COMPARTMENT (VIEW A).
3. DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP SENSOR FROM LH SPEAKER GRILLE (PONTIAC VEHICLE ONLY, FOR CANADA ONLY).
4. LIFT I/P PAD UP AND PULL REARWARD TO DISENGAGE RETAINING TABS AT FRONT OF PAD.
5. I/P PAD ASSEMBLY FROM VEHICLE.
B. INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. POSITION I/P PAD TO LOWER I/P PAD, PUSH TO ENGAGE RETAINING TABS.
2. DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP SENSOR TO LH SPEAKER GRILLE (PONTIAC VEHICLE ONLY, FOR CANADA ONLY).
3. I/P TRIM PAD RETAINING SCREWS (4) TWO AT TOP OF CLUSTER, TWO THROUGH GLOVE COMPARTMENT (VIEW A).
4. RETAINING SCREWS AT SIDE WINDOW DEFROSTER OUTLETS AND GRILLES
