SUBJECT: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - SECTION 3A WHEEL ALIGHNMENT - REVISED SPECIFICATION CHART (REPLACE FIG 6 AND 6A)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1990 U-VANS

The following chart for Specifications For Alignment Diagnosis replaces Figure 6 and 6A in the 1990 U-van Service Manual on page 3A-6.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR ALIGNMENT DIAGNOSIS

DEGREES (PER WHEEL) FRONT REAR (NOT ADJUSTABLE) ------------------- -------------- ----------------- TOE 0' +/- 0.20' 00' +/- 0.30'

CAMBER 0' +/- 0.50' -0.10' +/- 0.30'

CASTER 1.70' +/- 0.70' ----

VEHICLE MUST BE JOUNCED THREE TIMES BEFORE CHECKING ALIGNMENT TO ELIMINATE FALSE GEOMETRY READINGS.

TOE ADJUSTMENT TO BE SET SEPARATELY PER WHEEL, WITH STEERING WHEEL HELD IN 'STRAIGHT-AHEAD' POSITION WITHIN +/-5'.

TOE-IN IS EXPRESSED AS + DEGREES. TOE-OUT IS EXPRESSED AS - DEGREES.

CROSS CAR CAMBER MUST BE WITHIN 0.7'.
