SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ABOUT OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS VIBRATION IN CERTAIN ROAD CONDITIONS. THIS CONDITION MAY HAPPEN ON EITHER DOOR.
LOOSE ADJUSTING SCREWS.
APPROVED SAFETY GLASSES AND GLOVES SHOULD BE WORN WHEN PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE TO REDUCE THE CHANCE OF PERSONAL INJURY.
1. TAPE OVER THE MIRROR FACE.
2. RUN THE MIRROR ALL THE WAY INBOARD.
3. REMOVE THE MIRROR BACKING PLATE ASSEMBLY BY GRASPING THE MIRROR AS CLOSE TO THE CENTER AS YOU CAN AND PULL REARWARD TO DISENGAGE IT FROM THE MIRROR HEAD.
4. ENSURE THAT THE POWER MIRROR MOTOR FASTENER SCREWS ARE SECURE.
5. INSTALL NEW MIRROR KIT, P/N'S 12524676 RH AND 12524677 LH. THE NEW MIRROR COMES WITH NEW JACK SCREWS AND TRUNNION ATTACHED TO THE MIRROR.
6. REINSTALL MIRROR USING THE MOTOR TO DRAW UP THE JACK SCREWS. WITH THE PALM OF YOUR HAND, PUSH ON THE CENTER OF THE GLASS TO SEAT THE TRUNNION TO THE MOTOR. AN AUDIBLE CLICK SHOULD BE HEARD WHEN THE MIRROR TRUNNION IS PROPERLY SEATED.
7. OPERATE THE MIRROR FOR PROPER OPERATION.
