Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  2. Remove the right front tire and the wheel. Refer to Wheel Removal in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the right inner fender splash shield. Refer to Fender in Body Front End.

  4. Object Number: 99227  Size: SH
  5. Remove the speed sensor wire connector.

  6. Object Number: 99233  Size: SH
  7. Remove the speed sensor screw.
  8. Remove the speed sensor and the seal.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 99233  Size: SH
  1. Install the seal.
  2. Install the speed sensor
  3. Install the speed sensor screw.
  4. Tighten
    Tightening the bolt/screw to the 11 N·m(97 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the speed sensor wire connector.
  6. Install the right inner fender splash shield. Refer to Fender in Body Front End.
  7. Install the right front tire and the wheel. Refer to Wheel Removal in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
