You may encounter a condition in which the vehicle displays the reduced power warning/safety mode warning on the MFD and the engine performance and throttle response are very low.
The following DTCs will be set:
-- P2101 (Throttle Control Position Range / Performance)
-- P2100 (Throttle Control Motor Malfunction)
The following DTC may also be set :
-- P2176 (Throttle Control Lower Position Not Learned)
Fuse F28 (ECM 1) (1) in the underhood fuse box may be blown or missing and may cause the above listed conditions.
Check fuse F28. If the fuse is blown, inspect the circuit for causes of blowing, shorts, etc.
Important: Do not replace any component for the above condition until after fuse F28 has checked out OK and after diagnosis shows the component to be faulty.
Please report any case of blown fuse F28 and what you found to be the cause of this failure via PIR.
