The purpose of the brake warning system is to warn the driver of a electronic brake deferential (EBD) failure and/or a low brake fluid condition. It also alerts the driver that the park brake is applied whilst the vehicle is being driven.
| • | A brake EBD fail warning is active when the brake fail signal is active. | 
| A red telltale illuminates whilst the brake fail signal is active. | 
| A brake EBD Fail Warning is displayed both as an animation on the multi function display (MFD) and as a telltale. The general warning chime sounds when the animated warning activates. The chime will not repeat whilst the warning remains active. | 
| The brake EBD fail warning remains on the MFD until: | 
| - | The ENTER switch is pressed. | 
| - | The TRIP button is pressed. | 
| - | The condition is rectified. | 
| • | A brake fluid level warning is active when the instrument panel cluster (IPC) detects an increase in resistance in the brake fluid level switch circuit. | 
| A red telltale illuminates continuously with the ignition ON and when the resistance of the brake fluid level switch circuit is above a predetermined value. | 
| The brake fluid level warning is displayed both as an animation on the MFD and as a telltale. The general warning chime sounds when the animated warning activates. The chime will not repeat whilst the warning remains active. | 
| The brake fluid level warning remains on the MFD until: | 
| - | The ENTER switch is pressed. | 
| - | The TRIP button is pressed. | 
| - | The condition is rectified. | 
| • | The park brake warning is active when the park brake signal is active and the vehicle speed is greater than 10 km/h (6 mph). | 
| A red telltale illuminates whilst the park brake signal is active, regardless of the vehicle speed. | 
| The Park Brake Warning is displayed both as an animation on the MFD and as a telltale. The general warning chime sounds when the animated warning activates. The chime will not repeat whilst the warning remains active. | 
| The park brake warning remains on the MFD until: | 
| - | The ENTER switch is pressed. | 
| - | The TRIP button is pressed. | 
| - | The condition is rectified. | 
| - | The speed is reduced to less than 10 km/h (6 mph). |
