Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear bumper. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .

    2. Important: Use a suitable tool to support the endgate during the replacement procedure, this will prevent the endgate and body from being damaged.

  2. Remove the endgate liner. Refer to Pickup Box Endgate Liner Replacement .
  3. Using a suitable tool mark the location of the endgate hinge to aid in the installation procedure.

    4. Object Number: 2037779 Size: SH
  4. Remove the endgate hinge to body retaining bolts (1).

    5. Object Number: 2037777 Size: SH
  5. Remove the endgate hinge to endgate retaining bolts (1).
  6. Remove the endgate hinge (2) from the endgate (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2037777 Size: SH

    Important: Align the hinge to the marks made during the removal procedure.

  1. Install the endgate hinge (2) to the endgate  (3).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the endgate hinge to endgate retaining bolts (1).

    3. Do not fully tighten at this stage.

    Important: Align the hinge to the marks made during removal procedure.

  3. Install the endgate hinge to body retaining bolts (1).

    4. Do not fully tighten at this stage.

  4. Carry out endgate adjustment. Refer to Endgate Adjustment .
  5. Install the endgate liner. Refer to Pickup Box Endgate Liner Replacement .
  6. Install the rear bumper. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
