Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear tail lamp assembly. Refer to Tail Lamp Assembly and /or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 2008021 Size: SH

    Important: The rear bumper fascia outer support to quarter panel retaining rivets (2) are single use parts and must be discarded after removal.

  4. Drill out and remove the rear bumper fascia outer support to quarter panel retaining rivets (2).

    5. Discard the rivets.

  5. Remove the rear bumper fascia outer support (1) from the quarter panel (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2008021 Size: SH
  1. Position the rear bumper fascia outer support (1) to the quarter panel (3).
  2. Install NEW rear bumper fascia outer support to quarter panel retaining rivets (2).
  3. Install the rear tail lamp assembly. Refer to Tail Lamp Assembly and /or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement .
  4. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
