Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the fuse from the passenger compartment fuse and relay panel assembly.
  2. Remove the seat head restraints. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  3. Remove the seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  4. Remove the windshield side garnish, on both sides. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement .
  5. Remove the trim panel - upper centre pillar, on both sides. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Remove the sunshade assembly, on both sides. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  7. Remove the dome lamp assembly. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement .
  8. Remove the windshield defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .

    9. Object Number: 1939554 Size: SH
  9. Detach the headlining wiring harness retaining clips (1) located on the A-pillar inner panel (2).

    10. Object Number: 1939573 Size: SH
  10. Disconnect the headliner electrical connector (1), which is located under the defroster grille.

    11. Object Number: 2025377 Size: SH

    Important: Removal and installation of the headliner requires the aid of an assistant, under no circumstances should it be removed or installed by one person.

  11. Once all the components have been removed, disengage the rear retaining clips (1).
  12. Remove the headliner assembly (2).

Installation Procedure

    Important: Take care not to fold the headliner. Folding the headliner will result in visible creases in the headliner fabric.

  1. With the aid of an assistant, carefully place headlining (1) into vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 2025377 Size: SH

    Important: Make sure that the headliner datum pin is located in the rear of the roof assembly.

  2. Carefully engage the headliner assembly (2) retaining clips (1).

    3. Object Number: 1939573 Size: SH
  3. Connect the headliner electrical connector (1).

    4. Object Number: 1939554 Size: SH
  4. Attach the headlining wiring harness retaining clips (1) to the A-pillar inner panel (2).
  5. Install the windshield defrost grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .
  6. Install the dome lamp assembly. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement .
  7. Install the sunshade assembly, on both sides. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  8. Install the trim panel - upper centre pillar, on both sides. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  9. Install the windshield side garnish, on both sides. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement .
  10. Install the seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  11. Install the seat head restraints. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  12. Install the fuse to the passenger compartment fuse and relay panel assembly.
