Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
- Open the rear compartment lid.
- For access to the license plate lamp bulbs, remove the rear compartment lid interior trim clip and position the trim aside.
- Remove the license plate lamp bulb holder from the lamp body by rotating counterclockwise.
- Pull the license plate light bulb from the holder socket.
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.
Important: The license plate lamp bulbs are located in the rear compartment lid.
Installation Procedure
- Install a new license plate light bulb into the license plate lamp bulb holder socket and push the bulb into the socket.
- Install the license plate lamp bulb holder to the lamp body in the rear compartment lid and rotate clockwise to secure.
- Check all vehicle lights for correct operation.
- Install the rear compartment lid interior trim and secure with clip.
- Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
- Close the rear compartment lid.
Important: Check the condition of license plate bulb base seal and replace if necessary. The tabs on the bulb base and mating cut-outs in the lamp assembly allow the bulb to seat correctly in the lamp housing.
