  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement or Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement or Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.

    3. Caution: Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Express Window Down Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Loosen the window regulator to window glass retaining bolts (1).
  4. Start the vehicle to make sure maximum power to the window motor. This is required to fully seat the window for adjustment.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Raise the window to the full up position.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the window clamp nuts to 8 N-m (71 lb in).

  6. Inspect for correct window operation and a tight seal.
  7. Shut off the vehicle.
  8. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement or Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.
  9. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement or Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
