J 39400 Halogen Leak Detector
Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.
Important: Remove the upper radiator support brackets by raising the securing lock upwards 10mm and slide the bracket out of the radiator slide pin.
Important: Gently push the radiator and condenser towards the engine to allow removal of the plastic screw cap (1) on the right side of the condenser (5).
Important: The circlip (2) cannot be removed if any gas pressure is present in A/C system.
Important: To gain adequate clearance for removal of the circlip (2), use a suitable tool to gently tap the receiver dehydrator bottle plug (3) downwards.
Important: Screw a suitable bolt into the threaded hole in the receiver dehydrator bottle plug (3). Pull upwards on the bolt to remove the receiver dehydrator bottle plug (3) from the condenser (5).
Important: Using a suitable tool, grip the lower lip on the receiver dehydrator cartridge (4) and pull upwards to remove the receiver dehydrator cartridge (4) from the condenser (5).
Important: Make sure the receiver dehydrator bottle plug (3) is fitted below the circlip groove
Important: Make sure the circlip (2) is fitted correctly seated in the circlip groove.
