DTC B370C Rain Sensor Intensity Signal Circuit
DTC B370D Rain Sensor Module Control Circuit
Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle prior to using this diagnostic procedure.
With the windshield wiper switch set in the AUTOMATIC position, when the rain sensor detects the presence of moisture on the windshield, it sends a signal to the Body Control Module (BCM). Upon receiving the signal, the BCM turns on the windshield wipers. The wipers will continue working until the rain sensor no longer detects moisture on the windshield.
• | The ignition is ON. |
• | The windshield wiper switch is in the AUTOMATIC position. |
The BCM detects a fault in the rain senor circuit.
• | The automatic wipers will not operate when the moisture hits the windshield.. |
• | The windshield wipers will only operate by using the wiper switch. |
• | The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present. |
• | The history DTC will clear after 50 fault-free ignition cycles. |
⇒ | If greater than 5 ohms, repair or replace the effected circuit(s). |
⇒ | If less than 5 ohms, replace the Rain sensor. |
