Removal Procedure

    Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Install a suitable liftgate brace to the vehicle.
  2. Remove the liftgate window side garnish moulding. Refer to Liftgate Window Side Garnish Molding Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 2046865 Size: SH
  3. Using a suitable tool, carefully disengage the liftgate window lower garnish moulding to liftgate retaining clips (3) and datum pins (1).
  4. Remove liftgate window lower garnish moulding (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2046865 Size: SH

    Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Position the liftgate window lower garnish moulding (2) to the liftgate.
  2. Carefully engage the liftgate window lower garnish moulding retaining clips (3) and datum pins (1) to the liftgate. An audible click will confirm correct installation.
  3. Install the liftgate window side garnish moulding. Refer to Liftgate Window Side Garnish Molding Replacement.
  4. Remove the suitable liftgate brace from the vehicle.
