Air Filter Element and Air Cleaner Assembly Element

1. Disconnect the retainer clips in the air cleaner cover.
2. Remove the air filter element.
3. Disconnect the MAF Sensor connector.
4. Remove the air intake duct.
5. Remove the air cleaner assembly retainer screws.
6. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Inspect the air filter element for dust, dirt, water and replace if required. Refer to General Information .

1. Install the air cleaner assembly.
2. Install the air cleaner assembly retainer screws.

Tighten
Tighten the switch to 5-7 N·m (35-45 lb in).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the air intake duct.
4. Connect the MAF sensor connector.
5. Install the air filter element.
6. Install air cleaner cover assembly and latch cover assembly.

Air Filter Element and Air Cleaner Assembly Air Intake Resonator

1. Remove the attaching bolt.
2. Remove retainer from resonator.
3. Remove the air intake resonator.

1. Install resonator to vehicle.
2. Connect retainer to the air intake resonator.
3. Install attaching bolt to the resonator.
