Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 73897  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the MAF Sensor connector.
  2. Loosen the air intake duct/MAF sensor assembly screws.
  3. Remove the air intake duct/MAF assembly.
  4. Remove the air cleaner assembly retainer screws.
  5. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Inspect the air filter element for dust, dirt, water and replace if required.
  6. Replace the filter if required.

Installation Procedure

  1. Reinstall the air filter element.
  2. Reinstall the air cleaner assembly.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the air cleaner assembly retainer screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the retainer screws to 5-7 N·m (35-45 lb in).

  6. Reinstall the air intake duct/MAF assembly.
  7. Tighten the clamps on the air intake duct/MAF assembly.
