Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 175768  Size: SH
  3. Remove the stabilizer shaft link bolts (3).

  4. Object Number: 175767  Size: SH
  5. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator brackets (5) and nuts (6) from the stabilizer shaft (2).
  6. Remove the stabilizer shaft (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 175768  Size: SH
  1. Install the stabilizer shaft (4) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator brackets (5) to stabilizer shaft (2) and nuts (6). Do not tighten the nuts at this time.

  3. Object Number: 175768  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the stabilizer shaft link bolts (3).
  5. Tighten

        • Tighten the link bolts to 69 N·m (51 lb ft).
        • Tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator bracket bolts to 53 N·m (39 lb ft).
  6. Lower the vehicle.
